ABOUT FILMMAKER TEXAS

ABOUT FILMMAKER TEXAS MAGAZINE

FILMMAKER TEXAS is an every other month digital magazine and special issue four color glossy magazine, and a industry newsletter catering to those with an infinite need to know about the latest in film, video, television, documentary, and special events production in Texas. FILMMAKER TEXAS provides information, news, views and reviews of Film, Television, Video and Digital Production. Editorially, we cover the techniques, technologies, locations, and the cast and crew who make things happen - from preproduction to post production and to the final phase of exhibition. Texas has a unique and historical significance within the filmmaking industry.

From great locations, talented cast and crew, filmmaking in Texas can compete with any other region in the country. Our goal is make sure everyone in Texas do not forget it, and everyone in the rest of the country realizes it. FILMMAKER TEXAS will consistently cover all areas of production, including cameras, sound, lighting, editing, art direction, costumes, scoring, locations, DV/HD equipment and techniques. FILMMAKER TEXAS will also provide monthly directories of the production equipment and services you need from pre production, production, post production, to final exhibition.

FILMMAKER TEXAS will cover Hollywood big budgets and small budget independent films, television, cable and corporate productions; all with the same energy and excitement. We will also provide regular profiles on the production personalities as well as the business owners who provide the necessary products and services that make the production happen from the beginning to the end. Although we are focusing primarily in Texas, we will have some limited distribution nationally reaching those who may be seeking information on shooting in Texas. The national distribution will give our Texas filmmakers and business owners the national recognition and credibility so that the South can be called upon to provide cast, crew, equipment and location to rest of the country.

If Hollywood and others come to Texas for productions, they do not have to bring their entire crew and equipment with them - they can rely on Texas filmmakers and their various support systems. Additional exposure will come from the highlighting of Texas business owners in the film, digital and video production business as well as various production cast and crew who are making things happen in Texas and beyond, now, and in the future.

Primary distribution is throughout the entire state of Texas. We will also cover national news and information that would be beneficial to filmmakers residing in Texas, but who see to work utitlize their talents and services worldwide.

The paid distribution includes select newsstands, bookstores and subscriptions. Complimentary distribution will include film, video, television, music production companies, as well as advertising agencies, casting agencies, legal, corporate, and special event/concert production companies. An emphasis is putting the magazine in the hands of decision-makers who can green light the purchasing of your products and services from areas of production via 4k, 35mm/16mm film, HD, MiniDV, Beta and or any means necessary to bring their projects to fruition. Additionally, we will highlight all other cast and crew support products and services including animation, music scoring, costume, hair/make-up, vehicle rentals etc. We will also highlight our advertisers in various editorials to showcase their products and services to our readers to give them more knowledge of what you have to offer them. Ask your sales rep about such editorial collaboration opportunities.
